Course Description

Introduces electrical hazards in the workplace and describes how to avoid electrical hazards and how to analyze and document shock and arc flash hazards. Explains how to plan and conduct work around electrical shock and arc flash hazards. Includes examples of how to complete an energized electrical work permit, and how to select the specialized personal protective equipment (PPE) required for electrical work. Provides familiarity with NFPA 70E. This training was designed and updated to meet the 2018 edition of NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace and the 2017 NEC.
