Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Associate to assist the Facilities Operations department.

  • Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
  • Records shipment data, including weight, charges and space availability.
  • Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
  • Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
  • Completes shipping and receiving reports.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Reports to the Facility Operations Manager.
  • Builds crates and skids.
  • Includes some facilities maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years experience.
  • Experience working in a shipping/receiving environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Experience reading and understanding bills of lading.
  • Must have general PC skills including email, internet and data entry.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift, vertical circular saw and liquid filled foam packaging.
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment working independently with little or no direction.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, reach and handle parts and equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and transfer at least 35 pounds without difficulty.
  • Candidate must have Time Management skills.
  • Must be able to function in an uncontrolled climate warehouse environment.

Job Location: Lewisville, TX

Must be an American citizen or have a current visa and reside in the United States. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests. Must have a good background check and have a good driving record.
